YSRCP plans to field two nominees despite majority!

All set ready for MLC war in two Telugu states. Election Commission is ready to announce it's schedule within a week. As per the majority in Legislative Assembly, TDP sure to get 5 MLCs where as YSRCP one MLC. Either of the parties would get 7th MLC as per the political situation at that time. There are many contenders in YSRCP to contest for One MLC. Alla Nani from Eluru, Balineni from Ongole and Vellampalli Srinivas from Vijayawada are listed out as top contenders for lone seat.

Vellampalli is comparatively junior to Balineni and Alla. But YS Jagan is very much impressed the way that Vellampalli lead the protest rally on January 26th in Vijayawada for Special Category Status to AP. Adding to this, YSRCP wants it's representation in CRDA region in Legislative Council. This will increase Vellampalli chance to enter into Legislative Council. YSRCP routed out in West Godavari district in 2014 general elections. Giving chance to Alla Nani helped to YSRCP in the district.

Balineni Srinivasa Reddy was almost silent in YSRCP activities soon after he lost in 2014 elections from Ongole. There were some rumors that TDP is trying to woo Balineni before 2019 elections. Keeping all these political developments, Jagan wants to satisfy Balineni Srinivasa Reddy with MLC ticket. On other hand, YSRCP has intention to field two candidates instead of one for MLC elections. We have to see how Jagan strategies worked out for electing two YSRCP nominees.
