Unexpected Hit from Balakrishna!

Pongal season is the crazy season for Tollywood producers to make money from their films. Most of the biggies are trying to fix their films for every pongal season. This time Balakrishna's Jai Simha and Pavan's Agnathawasi were in competition for this Pongal. Agnathavasi was released two days before Jai Simha. Telugu audience and distributors have showed their interest towards Pavan's film rather than Balakrishna's. When Balakrishna announced Jai Simha all Nandamuri fans demotivated with the banner and director of the movie.

Fans were almost lost their hopes and prepared for the worst result for this pongal. C. Kalyan is not successful producer in Tollywood. His earlier production with Balayya Paramaveera Chakra was turned to be biggest disaster in his career. Director K.S. Ravikumar was lost his fame after getting biggest Flop of Linga. Star Tamil Heros were dropped to act in Ravikumar's film after seeing Linga result. Knowing their background in advance, how Balakrishna decided to work with them was the million dollar question before the release of Jai Simha.

Once after release everything is changed. Jai Simha is emerged as Sankranti winner for this year. Unlike Balakrishna's previous films, Jai Simha get decent opening throughout the world. But collections are increased on each passing day in first week. The movie attracted families with sentiment which is not regular commercial elements in Balakrishna's films in recent past. Surprisingly! number of screens increased in some areas in second week. Balakrishna showed his dominance in B and C centres. Gudur which is D centre in Kurnool district Jai Simha collected 7 lakhs gross in first 6 days and surpasses Bahubali-2 which collects 6 lakhs earlier. As per the Trade pundits, Jai Simha might enter into 40 crores club at the closing.
