Inspiring from Jallikattu agitation from Tamilnadu, Pavan Kalyan gave a open call through social media to the youth of Andhra Pradesh for rally at RK Beach in Visakhapatnam for Special Category Status. All young heros including Varun Tej, Sai Dhara Teja, Naga Babu, Manchu Heros, Nani, Gopi Chand, Sampoornesh Babu and Tamma Reddy Bhardwaj responded to Pavan's tweet and indirectly encouraged youth to gather at RK Beach.

Since early in the morning on January 26th, he was engaged in Twitter and directed the youth. Every one was eagerly waited for Pavan Kalyan in Vizag protest. But he was skipped to attend the gathering at RK beach. It surprised every one. Just two members from Film Industry Sampoornesh Babu and Tamma Reddy Bhardwaj were attended and arrested at Vizag. The so called young heros were away from the meeting.

This causes huge criticisms against Pavan Kalyan in Twitter. Netizens getting angry on Pavan and on his personal absence to the gathering. Some people compared Pavan with his brother Chiranjeevi who launched PRP and merged with Congress later. Some people suggested Pavan not to misled the youth and guided the hero knowing ground realty first but not in Social Media.
