There are many seniors in TDP who worked with Chandrababu
Naidu since inception like KE Krishna Murthy, Ayyannapathrudu, Kalavenkata Rao,
Ashokgajapathy Raju, Dhulipala Narendra, Pulla Rao, Somireddy and China
Rajappa.
Kodela was elected to Assembly from Narsaraopet in 1983. At
that time, NTR made call to all people to enter into TDP. Kodela Siva Prasad
Rao who practiced Doctor in the town responded to the NTR’s call and joined in
TDP. He is the first person from non-Reddy community was elected in
Narsaraopet. He was elected four times from Narsaraopet and held many portfolios
during NTR and CBN time. Kodela never ever changed party and faced many
challenges when YSR was CM.
Having such political backdrop, Kodela is still struggling
to finalize his name in the list. Later, he shifted his segment to
Sattenapalli. In 2014 elections, Kodela won Sattenapalli segment over Ambati
Rambabu (YSRCP) just 924 votes. Reportedly, his son creates unnecessary issues to
Kodela. As per buzz, Kodela son demand and collect money from the businessmen
and realtors for their works. This causes lot of disturbance and bad reputation
to Kodela. Local TDP leaders and cadre rushed towards CBN house and appeal to
him not to give Ticket to Kodela. This is definitely gives rude shock to
Kodela. We will see how he handles anti-incumbency against him in Sattenapalli.
