China has a population of 58 crores by 2100!

Amazing evolution in China, the most populous country in the world! The population there is declining massively. It’s an interesting and surprising development in China. The first highest populated nation might not retain its position by the year 2100. In 2021, it rose from 141.21 crores to 141.26 crores, an increase of just 4,80,000, according to the latest figures from China's National Statistics Office. The Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences estimates that their country's population will reach 144 crores by 2029 in 2019. After 2021, the population will decline by 1.1 percent. By 2100, it is expected to fall to an unprecedented 58.7 crore. At the same time, the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) of the University of Washington in the United States predicts that India's population will also decline. It will be reduced from 138 crores to 109 crores now. However, it is said to be the number one population in the world.

However, the United Nations figures for India and China are in stark contrast. India's population will reach 144.7 crores by 2100. China ranks second with 106.5 crores. Nigeria (73.3 crores), the United States (43.4 crores), and Pakistan (40.3 crores) are in the next position. China's population declined only during a severe drought (1959-61) under the age of 60. After that, it has increased from 66 crores to 141 crores in the last four decades. Now there are various reasons for the decline. The Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences has revealed that despite the communist government's abolition of the one-child policy, women are reluctant to eat more for social and economic reasons. Women do not like to get pregnant for this reason. However, this is not the only reason for the population slowdown.

The fertility rate has been steadily declining for many years. At the end of the 1980s, the rate was 2.6 percent, down from 1.6-1.7 percent in 1994, to 1.3 percent by 2020 and 1.15 percent. The single child policy was abolished in 2016. Despite the introduction of the policy of raising three children, fertility did not increase. Those who are accustomed to small families are not willing to grow into large families. The cost of living has increased. Births are delayed with the increasing age of marriage. The desire to have children is decreasing among the people in the country. There are many reasons and theories like this. After all, the number of women of childbearing age in China has plummeted.
