Sujana credit - NABARD Cheque to Polavaram

Polavaram is a multi-purpose irrigation project which termed as life-line to Andhra Pradesh. As per AP Reorganization Act, Union Government was declared Polavaram as Nation's Project. Chief Minister CBN repeatedly requesting NDA Government for funds to Polavaram. He was dedicated every Monday for Polavaram review that made Irrigation department to speed-up Polavaram activities.

Last month, Finance Minister Arun Jaitely announced that NABARD would disperse funds to Polavaram on behalf-of Union Government. As promised, Union Ministers handed over 1,981 crores NABARD cheque to Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu. Jaitley praised the commitment of Sujana Chowdary in getting funds for Polavaram. "He (Sujana) will present at my office every week without fail and requested for funds." CBN too praised Sujana Chowdary in this regard.

CBN said that Sujana was co-ordinated with AP irrigation officials with Central irrigation and finance officials on Polavaram works. Chandra Babu has requested Uma Bharathi not to remove this team. The project provides irrigation water to 7.2 lakh acres in the state. CBN announced that project will complete by the end of 2018 in fast track.
