Putin's war thirst is not quenched. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine could not stop the enlargement of NATO. Finland and Sweden are seriously debating applications for membership in the alliance and are widely expected to join. In particular, Finland is another European Nation that shares a land border with Russia that forcing the nation to prepare for war with Russia. Finland shares an 830-mile border with Russia. The prime ministers of Sweden and Finland said at a joint press conference they’re strongly considering joining NATO in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Moscow has repeatedly said any expansion of NATO would be considered a "provocation" and warned there would be "consequences".
Assuming the worst
situation in advance, civilians in Finland are preparing to face Russia.
Thousands of people are reaching out to the reserve forces for training. The
country’s national reserves association has around 45k. Security forces have
been trained on how to shoot war guns at civilians. Finland's government has
prepared the necessary steps for war. It procured stockpiles of fuel and drugs
and prepared for any worst scenario for the next 6 months. Now, Russia is
moving its forces and military equipment toward Finland.

Russia has allegedly been deploying military equipment in Karelia province
which is located in Finland. There was a treaty signed in 1948 by Finland,
saying that it can’t join either NATO or the Soviet Union. After
USSR disappeared in the early ’90s, Finland wanted to strengthen its ties
with the West. It became a member of the EU in 1995. Both Sweden and Finland
are members of the EU and already have strong partnerships with NATO, participating
in military exercises and even strategic and operational planning.
