Gautam Gambhir is an ace opener and put his Kolkatta Knight Riders in top in ongoing IPL-2017 as Captain. People in the country and cricket lovers were known just as Cricketer. But his quick response after Sukma Maoist encounter in Chhattisgarh showed different angle of his personality to the people. Gautam Gambhir was tweeted immediately after the encounter in support of killed soldier families. His attitude appreciated all the people in the country.

Being a citizen of India, Gautam Gambhir proved social responsibility towards society. He was announced that his foundation would bear all expenses related to children of killed soldiers. A day after his announcement, Gautam Gambhir donated his Man of the match prize money (1 lakh) to the families of brave hearts. Gambhir was scored 71 off 52 that helped KKR win over Delhi Dare Devils. Everyone was surprised his kindness and generosity towards the families of died soldiers.

Film Stars and Cricketers were considers as demi-gods to the youth in the country. His attitude will inspire many and others to follow him. Responding to his tweet, UP Chief Minister Yogi said that Gautam would be youth icon. Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu responded to Gambhir's generosity complimented that Gambhir is setting example.
