Adavi Ramudu was care of address to Mass Movie in Telugu. Adavi Ramudu movie was perfect hero-oriented film with all commercial ingredients. The movie helped low profile technicians and artists as Stars on overnight. It remember to all viewers in 70's. It was the first movie for young director Raghavendra Rao with then Super Star NTR. Despite his Super Star image NTR was away some section of youth audience before this movie.

Raghavendra Rao used the opportunity with perfect execution to change NTR image, The movie was completed within 3 months and was released on April 28th, 1977. The movie turned to be block-buster and collected 4 crores which is equivalent to 500 crores as per current inflation rates.
