Sye Raa - Hit in Telugu States only!


Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus Syera Narasimha Reddy was released on more than 2K screens in Telugu States. The movie has received super hit talk from first show on wards. 
Audience and critics have unanimously said that the quality of the making the movie and photography are outstanding. On the other side makers of the movie gave preference to elevate the Chiranjeevi in every frame and not pay much attention on real story of Uyyawada in Rayalaseema.

Coming to Box Office Collections on Day 1 of the movie, US is most disappointed because of delay in sending the prints et al. Mega Fans expected to collect 1 million on First Day at US. The collections were stopped around $857 even the tickets are sold in 1+1 offer. Movie not even listed of Top 5 collections of Day 1 in US. After SAAHO, all eyes are at Bollywood on Sye Raa among the distributors. SAAHO was proved its strength at BO in Bollywood. But Sye Raa showed miserable collections in Hindi Version. As per buzz, the movie failed to collect not even 2 crores on Day 1.

WAR and JOKER are just outplayed Sye Raa in Bollywood. WAR is creating the huge buzz among the audience and collected around 32 crores net on Day 1 itself. Sye Raa makers go with huge publicity in Hindi belt area with Amitab as lead. In Tamilnadu, both Telugu and Tamil versions of the movie were collected not even 50 lakhs. Two new films are likely to release in Tamil in this week that holds Sye Raa collections. In Karnataka and Kerala also collections are not encouraging for Sye Raa distributors. The only hope for them is Telugu States. Of Course! Sye Raa is enjoyed the Dussera Collections in Telugu. Period films don’t get repeat audience. We will get more clarity whether the movie would break BB1/BB2 after this weekend.

Rare Collection : Bhuma Nagi Reddy with Sr. NTR

Please check the photo. It was in 1994 after TDP regains power in AP. Bhuma Nagi Reddy and SV Subba Reddy (father of Shobha Nagi Reddy) were met NTR along with their families. Bhuma Nagi Reddy was elected first time to Assembly as TDP candidate from Allagadda in 1992 bye-election. Again he was elected as MLA from same constituency in 1994 as TDP candidate. In 1991, late NTR decided not to field TDP nominee opposite first Telugu Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. In 1996, Chandra Babu Naidu (NTR was died) was selected Bhuma against them Prime Minister PV in Nandhyala. In 1991, PV majority was more than 5 lakhs but in 1996 his massive majority comes down below one lakh. It can only possible to Bhuma. PV retained Barampur in Orissa and resigned for Nandhyala. TDP was selected Bhuma as it's candidate in 1996 bye-election and Bhuma won over 4lakh majority against Gangula. Bhuma was elected again in 1998 and in 1999 bye-elections from Nandhyala.
