After the clash with the Chinese People Liberation Army (PLA) in June’20, the Indian Government acknowledged that the Indian army lost 20 soldiers at Galwa Valley clash. There was no response from Chinese side in this regard but Indian army estimated China might lose 20 of PLA’s soldiers. China would remain silent and not to disclose the exact number. Initially refused to admit the number of causalities, China officially agreed that 4 of its men were killed by Indian Army in Galwan skirmish on February’21. Now, exactly a year after that Australian Investigative agency exposed the Chinese number and confirmed that PLA has lost another 38 members during the clashes with India.
The Australian website The Klaxon published that PLA lost 42 men in Galwan face-off with India. The investigative agency has got the number after one year of investigation. The Klaxon has collected the information from multiple sources like Chinese bloggers, former PLA experts, and deleted posts on Social Media. India was proposed to construct the bridge over Galwan River to look into the PLA activities. China has objected to India’s activity which leads to a dual fight between the two sides. On June 06th, nearly 100 PLA soldiers came to dismantle the bridge and the Indian army successfully gave counter to PLA.
On June 15th, around 150 PLA soldiers again came to dismantle the bridge without any talks to the Indian army. The Chinese commander chief was attacked and surrounded by Indian soldiers. Assuming the imminent defeat, Chinese soldiers tried to run away from the spot at the time of dawn. PLA soldiers tried to cross the icy Galwan Valley River in pitch darkness, but they kept slipping. Nearly 38 soldiers have washed away in the river and their bodies were taken to Shikawan cemetery. Though India was honored its martyrs, China refuses to honor them.
