The latest variant Omicron sees decrease its rage in all nations. Many countries lifted the restrictions on people. But one nation is going to destroy itself by continuing unnecessary restrictions. Canada truckers protest enters 12th day. Initially, the protest starts with truckers afterward it spread to farmers and now it turns into huge agitation among all sections of the people against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Though 90% of truck drivers were vaccinated, Trudeau still continues the vaccine mandate restrictions.
Freedom convoy protest in Ottawa streets banned truckers from honking the horns. The streets in Ottawa remain clogged with trucks. The Canadian and United States of America border closed in Manitoba due to protesting the vaccine mandate continues. But Justin Trudeau refused to invite truckers for talks that infuriated them further to intensify their agitation. Trudeau faces a series of questions from opposition leaders on the truckers' protest in Parliament. The U.S. says that protest in Canada causes many delays and disruptions to the supply chain in the retail sector. The blockade between Canada and U.S. has not only disrupted daily life but also proved the worst situation for Canada’s economy.
Bluewater Bridge and Ambassador bridge remain blocked. More than 8k trucks, 40k commuters, goods worth 300 million dollars including 100 million worth of auto spare parts alone crossed every day two bridges between two nations. Ambassador bridge is the busiest trade link between the two which accounts for around 25% of trade between Canada and the U.S. It becomes a big challenge to Canada because it sends 75% of its goods exports to the United States. Now the Freedom convoy protests en route to other nations. Similar protests started in France and New Zealand against coronavirus restrictions like vaccine mandates.
