Vijayasanthi did his last movie in Telugu Nayudamma in 2006.
After that she was busy in Politics. Vijayasanthi joined in TRS and became
Parliament Member from Medak constituency. She jumped into Congress after the
party announced the bifurcation in 2014.
Some producers and directors were tried to rope Vijayasanthi
into cinema again but not because of her unwillingness. Anil Ravipudi was tried
for Vijayasanthi for his earlier film “Raja The Great” as Raviteja’s mother
role. Reportedly, Vijayasanthi had not interested to do the role. Radhika was
second option for Anil. Again the young director has tried and convinces her
successfully in Mahesh starrer “Sarilerunekevvaru”. No one knows her role in
the movie and director too tight lipped on Vijayasanthi character. In the
teaser, she looked as dignified in her role.
As per buzz, Anil Ravipudi has convinced Vijaysanthi on her
role in the movie. Vijayasanthi did many heroine oriented roles in her career.
Her career was mix of both glamour and performance. On one side she did as
female lead with Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna and other side she acted as main
lead roles in the direction of T.Krishna, Muthyala Subbaiah and Dasari.
Karthavyam in 1990 is the turning point in Vijayasanthi career followed by
Police Lock-up and Osey Ramulamma took her image to peaks. If Sarileru got
success she might busy in Tollywood in her second innings.
