Were the Russian forces exhausted within 19 days of the start of the aggression on Ukraine? Is Russia, one of the largest military powers, steadily declining its arsenal? Is Russia now dependent on China for weapons? The US State Department and the press answer yes to these questions. 19 days after the start of the aggression, Russian forces have achieved nothing so far except create havoc in Ukraine. In other words, infantry forces at the field level are suffering from food and water. The US military is airing articles claiming that there is no fighting statute in the Russian army and that there are many failures.
Above all, the equipment used by the Russian military for communication is high-frequency, and those conversations can be heard even through ordinary radio. Similar mistakes are said to be sending Russian troops to Ukraine and US intelligence agencies. Russia has appealed to China for military equipment and weapons in the wake of the attack on Ukraine. America has issued warnings to China in this regard. However, China's foreign ministry spokesman Zhou Lijian said that Russia's request for weapons was incorrect. Russia has also made it clear that it will not ask for weapons.
On another side, Russia should pay a heavy price on invading Ukraine. International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicts Russia is heading for a recession with sanctions. Russian economy should shrink by 7% in growth in next FY because of war. The costs of military forces have been increased unprecedented level due to sanctions. Russian markets heavily crashed which is bigger than in 1998 crash because of sanctions. EU and the West are planning to reduce the dependency for oil products on Russia. The economic scenario actually looks even worse if Putin reaches a point where he claims victory in Ukraine.
