Small Country Big Resistance

Russia was once one of the top two kingdoms in the world. Despite the collapse of the Soviet Union and the absence of top state status, Russia is still the strongest country in the world. The United States is the third-largest military power in the world, followed by China. However, seven days after the start of the war on Ukraine, a small country that is not with them in any of the three forces, Russia is still said to be unable to gain adequate control over the country. The Russian Air Force is the third-largest in the world. Russia also has almost as many fighter jets as China, which ranks second. With 1,375 fighter jets and 125 heavy bombers, the Russian Air Force is something no country should be afraid of. Seven days after the start of the war, however, the Russian Air Force is not yet fully deployed.

Ukraine has only 225 fighter jets. These include MiG-29, SU-24, and 25 aircraft. In a seven-day war, Russia was able to destroy only 60 to 75 of these aircraft. More than 150 fighter jets are still flying in the air, making small attacks on the Russian army. Some Russian warplanes were shot down. Russia has carried out large-scale attacks on runways and airstrips used by these warplanes. But Ukraine is cleverly hiding them by moving them to unexpected places in the south and west of the country, Russia. Placing them at a distance of one to four kilometers near the smallest airstrips and unloading them into the field when needed. Some planes are said to be using grasslands as runways. They are flying at low altitudes and attacking the Russian Army without being detected by Russian radars.

However, due to the lack of technical support from the ground, the combat capability of Ukrainian aircraft was reduced. Moreover, the warplanes that were supposed to arrive in Ukraine from the European Union are no longer available. However, Russian aircraft still do not fly as freely. Ukraine has a large number of anti-aircraft missiles. The S‌-300 destroyer system is the main one. NATO countries have recently supplied a large number of Stinger missiles to Ukraine. It can be easily applied by one soldier carrying it on the shoulder with the help of another soldier. These missiles can destroy aircraft and helicopters flying at an altitude of fewer than five kilometers. Ukraine's anti-aircraft missiles have already shot down more than 30 Russian warplanes and helicopters.
