Chidambaram speech stuns everyone in house!

Senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram has continues his tirade against NDA Government with articulate speech. He was the second Finance Minister who submitted budget 9 times after Morargi Desai (10) in the country. 

Chidambaram was the Finance Minister introduced Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme (VDRS) in 1997 during Deve Gowda Government. He was released two weeks back on bail after spending 105 days in jail on corruption charges. P. Chidambaram lashes BJP government’s failure of showing GDP figures in his first press conference after release. He is not only senior in politics but has good knowledge on economic, legal and constitutional issues.

Congress party selected its speakers on discussion of Citizenship Amendment Bill (2019) without P. Chidambaram. But he got chance to speak when Kapil Sibal and Anand Sharma went outside for Tea. Chidambaram take the chance of 10 min of Kapil Sibal time and exposed the loopholes in the Bill very effectively. Former Finance Minister has confidently said that this bill will struck off in court. He dared Modi and Shah Government who will answer 6 questions on this bill. He thrashed NDA government with fluent English point by point. He explained on Citizenship Act of the constitution very clearly and effectively during his speech.

His Six questions are valid and in every one’s mind in the country. Why is the government grouping together three countries Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh and leaving out others?  Why has it identified only six religious groups — Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, Parsis, and Christians — and left out others like Ahmadiyyas, Rohingyas and Hazaras? Why has Christianity been included, and the other two Judaism and Muslim been left out? Why have Sri Lankan Hindus and Bhutanese Christians been left out? Why does the Bill address only religious persecution? Does the Bill violate the three fundamental elements of Article 14? Chidambaram asked the government who will answer his questions and concluded that BJP is trying to violate the constitution. Though he has corruption allegations, Chidambaram enlighten the people with his speech.
