RRR is getting the highest price for Bollywood Satellite Rights!

Telugu producers have the market of Nizam, Ceded (including Bellary) and Andhra are traditional regions for doing business for their films. The range of Telugu market extended to overseas in recent past. Now, it goes to the extent through Satellite Rights. Vinaya Vidheya Rama (VVR) was Tollywood’s first disaster in 2019. Crazy combination of Ramcharan and Boyapati was attracted the buyers in queue before Producer DVV Danaiah. After the release of the movie the same buyers forced the producers for their money for getting huge losses. Reportedly, both Ramcharan and Boyapati returned some of their compensation to producers. At that time DVV received 24 crores for Satellite rights from Bollywood for VVR. The amount is almost equal with Nizam area. It turns huge sigh of relief for a producer who lost everything after the release of Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

Bellamkonda Seinivas and Kajal starrer Sita was another flop in 2019. Teja is the Director for the film. Hindi Satellite rights for Sita were around 13 crores. This amount is almost blessing for the producer. There is huge demand for RRR which is the most waiting by entire Telugu people in the world. The rights are sold out for whooping price of 128 crores which is the highest for any Telugu Movie. The reason for the craze is multi-starrer and Rajamouli project after Bahubali. Prabhas SAAHO received 70 crores offer as Hindi Satellite Rights which is equal to 50% of the production cost. NTR’s Aravinda Sametha got 24 crores where as Ramcharan’s Rangastalam for 22 crores. Mahesh Bharat Anu Nenu gets 19.5 crores as Satellite Rights.

18 crores received for three Geetha Govindam, Taxiwala and Naa Peru Surya movies as Satellite Rights. Demand for Satellite Rights high when even small budget Telugu movie run successfully. Ghoodachari got 1.20 crores where Toli Prema received 3 crores as Bollywood Satellite Rights. Not only Telugu, demand for Satellite Rights for Tamil movies also have great market. Producers spend every paisa keeping in view of Satellite Rights into their mind. Satellite Rights for some of the movies are sold out before the release and for some demand increases after the success of the movie.
