BC Quota Politics - Who will get credit?

AP government has planned to complete local body elections by the end of the March. Supreme Court quashes YSRCP government’s 59.85% reservations for backward classes and orders the government to restrict BC reservations to 50%.

YSRCP leaders and ministers blame TDP for quashing the government 59.85% reservation petition. TDP leaders intentionally went to High Court to stop the reservations to BC in local bodies. It starts politics between YSRCP and TDP in the state. Print and Electronic media published their own versions on BC Reservations.

YSRCP mouthpiece SAKSHI praised YSRCP Government for increasing the reservation to 59.85%. After High Court quashed the petition, SAKSHI published the photos of petitioner with CBN and Lokesh and throw the ball to TDP court. It created an opinion that TDP was intentionally stopped the reservations when YSRCP wants. TDP start giving the counter to YSRCP on BC reservations. CBN asked the Government to appeal in Supreme Court on BC reservations and said TDP will join with Government petition. YSRCP leaders don’t take CBN statement seriously. TDP leaders blamed that government hadn’t provide its arguments effectively in High Court for BC reservations. They also said that Jagan government brought lawyers from Delhi for 5 crores to argue against Amaravati farmers but it showed not much interest in case of BC reservations.

TDP MP Rammohan Naidu filed petition in Supreme Court for 60% reservations. TDP start blaming that Government reduced BC reservations to 10% and 16K BC leaders lost to contest in elections. Now, SAKSHI has changed the version on BC’s. Since two days it is saying that Supreme Court restricted reservations up to 50% and how TDP filed petition for 59.65% reservations in SC. SAKSHI also quoted the Telangana Reservations as example to defend 50% reservations in AP. The media has trying to generate opinion that no issue to BC community even if there are 50% BC reservations. YSRCP saying it’s foul-play of TDP which was silent when case in High Court. It is susceptible YSRCP government issued the GO with 50% reservations immediately on same day (March 02nd) where HC quashed 59.85% BC reservations in local bodies. TDP used BC reservations as opportunity to expose YSRCP BC politics.
