Kesineni Swetha TDP nominee for Vijayawada Mayor


Vijayawada is always heat place in AP. Local body elections in this month added more political heat in the city. Vijayawada Corporation is always special to political parties. 
Voters in the city are going to elect new body for Vijayawada Corporation for next 5 years. There are 64 wards exist in the city. In 2013, TDP won the Vijayawada Mayor without having support from either Jana Sena or BJP. Alliance was formed among three parties after local body elections in 2014. Now, TDP is contesting Mayor Elections in Vijayawada along with CPI. BJP and Jana Sena fight together. YSRCP will fight alone in local body elections.

There is huge competition for both TDP and YSRCP tickets for Vijayawada Corporation. It seems that TDP MP Kesineni Nani is taking the responsibility in assigning tickets to the aspirants of different leaders and to CPI aspirants. Reportedly, 4 to 5 wards allotted to CPI in the city in Vijayawada Corporation. Vangaveeti Radha and Bonda Uma were discussed on giving tickets to their aspirants in the city. As per buzz, Radha can able to get 6 tickets to his followers in Vijayawada Central. TDP has decided to field Kesineni Nani daughter Kesineni Swetha as ward member from 11th ward in the city. Ex-Mayor Koneru Sridhar was elected to Vijayawada Corporation from 11th ward and became Mayor for the city. Swetha was made campaign in US elections on behalf-of Hillary Clinton and also did campaign for Kesineni Nani in general elections.

It seems by announcing mayor candidate in advance TDP wants to give boost to the cadre and contestants. YSRCP blamed TDP assign key posts to the leaders of their kin but YSRCP not assigned tickets to any children of their leaders. Reportedly, YSRCP may announce its mayor candidate from BC Community to eradicate bad reputation on them in BC reservations. Devineni Avinash has intentionally maintained distance to tickets allotment from YSRCP. His followers thought that if anything wrong to YSRCP in Vijayawada elections Avinash will become first political scapegoat. Malladi Vishnu and Vellampalli Seinivas are playing key role in finalizing tickets to YSRCP.
