Future of son important to Karanam!


YSRCP has resumed Operation Akarsh on TDP on eve of local body elections. Kadiri Babu Rao (Darsi), Satish Reddy (Pulivendula), Ramasubba Reddy(Jammalamadugu), Karanam Balaram(Chirala) and KE Prabhakar (Dhone) were left TDP one after other in two days and joined in YSRCP. 
Another leader Siddha Raghava Rao and Samantakamani (Ananthapur) might join into YSRCP at any time. These are severe setbacks to TDP before the local body elections. Karanam Balaram case is somewhat different to other leaders. He is close friend of Chandrababu Naidu and is not willing to leave TDP. Both are started their careers at same age in Congress.

But he is more worrisome on future of his son Venkatesh. TDP field Karanam from Chirala and won the election amid of huge anti-TDP wave. But Karanam followers and his bastion is Addanki where his opponent Gottipati Ravi won in 2019 General Elections. There was lot of struggle and years together fight exists between Gottipati and Karanam families. Karanam family will not get Addanki Ticket if they continue in TDP. Balaram already won Chirala and his opponent Gottipati won Addanki. Reportedly, Karanam waited for Gottipati exit but it couldn’t happen. That forced Karanam desert TDP for the sake of son Venkatesh.

Like Karanam, earlier also some of the TDP leaders used to join in YSRCP from TDP for their sons. Mysoora Reddy leave TDP for not giving third chance to nominate to Rajya Sabha. He joined in YSRCP and called himself as mentor to YS Jagan. As per buzz, he tried MLA or MP ticket to his in 2014 elections but Jagan deny his request. That causes immediate leave from YSRCP. Daadi Veerabhadra Rao who got popularity as BC leader in TDP from Anakapalli leave the party for not renewal MLC second time before 2014 general elections. He didn’t get ticket in 2014 elections. Now he is trying for mayor to his son for Vizag mayor elections. How Jagan would react on Karanam’s wish in 2024 elections?

Rare Collection : Bhuma Nagi Reddy with Sr. NTR

Please check the photo. It was in 1994 after TDP regains power in AP. Bhuma Nagi Reddy and SV Subba Reddy (father of Shobha Nagi Reddy) were met NTR along with their families. Bhuma Nagi Reddy was elected first time to Assembly as TDP candidate from Allagadda in 1992 bye-election. Again he was elected as MLA from same constituency in 1994 as TDP candidate. In 1991, late NTR decided not to field TDP nominee opposite first Telugu Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. In 1996, Chandra Babu Naidu (NTR was died) was selected Bhuma against them Prime Minister PV in Nandhyala. In 1991, PV majority was more than 5 lakhs but in 1996 his massive majority comes down below one lakh. It can only possible to Bhuma. PV retained Barampur in Orissa and resigned for Nandhyala. TDP was selected Bhuma as it's candidate in 1996 bye-election and Bhuma won over 4lakh majority against Gangula. Bhuma was elected again in 1998 and in 1999 bye-elections from Nandhyala.
