Chinese President Xi Jinping is on his way to
attack outside enemies and Chinese personalities as well in the name of social
values and equality. No doubt, the Chinese President has implemented the agenda
of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) on its people. Last Year, China cracked
down on Jack Ma and the criminal systematic dismantling of his Alibaba Empire
in the name of monopoly. The Chinese government destroys Jack Ma's empire
for just questioning Chinese Financial regulators. After that China threatens
another tech billionaire CEO of Meituan, Dianping Wang Xing for posting ancient
Poem which resembled Xi Jinping policies.
Now, China wages war against celebrities and fan culture. Entertainment celebs are the latest among those hit by China’s increasing efforts to regulate the society. This time CCP is cracking down on scandal hit personalities. One of the most popular Chinese actors Zhao Wei’s images have been removed from internet services without giving any prior intimation. All her previous movies and television shows were taken off from streaming platforms. Even Zhao’s fan page of the Chinese version in Weibo was also shut down. Zheng Shung, another famous actress was caught in surrogacy controversy in 2021. Chinese authorities found that she evaded $46 million of tax. Chinese broadcast authorities have circulated new restrictions for misbehaving celebrities in social media.
Chinese Canadian Pop star Kris Wu's name also appeared in the list. He was arrested on suspicion of rape allegations. Keeping all wrongdoings and scandals in mind, Chinese authorities’ framed new rules include cancelling all forms of celebrity rankings and tightening oversight on celebrity marketing agencies. The regulations would punish platforms that fail to quickly delete verbal attacks among fans of different idols. The Internet regulator acts as watchdog and also barring many shows from charging fans to vote online. Finally! CCP has strongly believed that video games, movies and music made a negative impact on Chinese socialist values.
