Even though the Taliban seized Afghanistan completely, resistance and protests were seen in some places against them in some places. Panjshir is still far away from the Taliban. Northern Alliance Resistance forces led by Ahmad Massoud gave a strong counter to Taliban in the valley. Reportedly, Taliban lost hundreds of it’s militants during the clash. A surprising show of resistance from women in Afghanistan happened in Herat. They raised their voice for human rights and employment against the Taliban. They demanded that Taliban women should be included in the new cabinet.
Pakistan army helped Taliban to attack on Panjshir lions. Pak sent an army to Panjshir to crush the Resistance. Reportedly, Resistance forces killed a Pakistan soldier at Panjshir. Taliban has intention to give top posts for women in the new government. Women remembered the Taliban's governance during 1996-2001 where women were banned from work and school. 60 women protesters were gathered outside a local governor’s office in the western city of Herat. The Taliban had not expected the resistance from the women section in Herat. Even though Taliban fighters stopped the rally, they can’t.
The Taliban has given assurance that they would allow women to work and study as per the Islamic law. But there are different scenes that appear in realty. Women are facing problems in their daily life as against Taliban assurance. Soon after U.S. forces left, the Taliban was facing resistance from every section of the society in the country. Adding to that, several Afghan musicians are raising voices against Taliban’s ban on music in the country. They argued that the ban is illogical and it is ignoring the roots of Afghan culture. Radio stations and TVs are not allowed to air music. Keeping the fear in their mind, several musicians left the country or destroyed their own instruments.
