Is Med Tech bless for AP?

Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone Limited (popularly known as AMTZ) is an enterprise under the Government of Andhra Pradesh to promote medical device manufacturing in India.
AMTZ was laid foundation on Aug 20, 2016 and inaugurated by N. Chandrababu Naidu on 2018. The goal is to make AP an internationally recognized manufacturing hub for medical devices, help in national agenda of import substitution, make Andhra Pradesh leader in medical technology exports, generate employment and contribute to volume generated cost reduction of medical devices for patients.

Then opposition YSRCP blamed at the time of opening Med Tech Zone as ‘Mayasabha’ in Mahabaharat. It alleged that Med Tech is the scam of 2500 crores in Visakhapatnam. Now, Med Tech seems a ray of hope amid of Covid-19 outbreak in the state.  Medtech Zone Ltd in Visakhapatnam is going to roll out COVID-19 testing kits in a week and ventilators by April 15 for use at the coronavirus treatment facilities in the State. The task of manufacturing ventilators and masks are crucial for treating critical cases of coronavirus.

United States is suffering with scarcity of masks and ventilators to counter Covid-19. Even US government unable to supply N95 masks to medical workers. Reportedly, Med Tech will manufacture as many as 3,000 ventilators and 25,000 COVID testing kits coming 10 days. YSRCP Minister Goutham Reddy said steps were being taken for manufacturing another 6000 ventilators to meet the demand. YSRCP knows the importance and value of Med Tech and believes that it was not Mayasabha. Thanks for utilizing the services amid of severe Coronavirus attack.
