Why Indian Govt lifted the ban on drugs within 2 weeks?

People came to know some medical terminology amid of Coronavirus outbreak.  Hydroxychloroquine is one name of the drugs that viral in news since two days. 
Hydroxychloroquine is being tested as a possible treatment for patients with COVID-19 - the disease caused by the coronavirus. India is one of the world's main suppliers of generic drugs to different nations. It had imposed the restrictions last month as the coronavirus outbreak disrupted global supply chains. Hydroxychloroquine is one of the drugs in the banned list.

It is a medication used to prevent and treat malaria in areas where malaria remains sensitive to chloroquine. Hydroxychloroquine is also being studied as an experimental treatment for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The importance of the drug increased all of the sudden amid of pandemic coronavirus outbreak across the world. United States is the worst affected with the virus and the toll of fatalities cross 10K mark. Trump administration is under tremendous pressure for not handling the crisis in the country.

Trump made a call to Indian Prime Minister and requested Modi to allow the sale of Hydroxychloroquine tablets ordered by the US. The number of positive cases increased in United States hours after India banned the export of the anti-malarial drug. Initially, Modi is silent on Trump’s request in exporting Hydroxychloroquine to US. President Trump said he would be surprised if India did not allow the export of Hydroxychloroquine tablets to the United States. Trump warned India on retaliation from US if Indian government not allowed export of Hydroxychloroquine. India to lift the restrictions on 26 drugs, but Indian government sources had said the bans had prompted intense pressure from the United States.
