Encounters are common in Jammu & Kashmir for many years. Pakistani terrorist groups infiltrated Indian soil and the Indian army killed them with the help of informers in the valley. What is happening in J&K now is different from the previous history? The valley has seen a series of encounters in the last few days. After a spate of killings of civilians forces are cracked down. 5 terrorists are gunned down within 24 hours. A fresh encounter broke out in the Feeripora area of Shopian district in the state. Two terrorists were killed in the encounter and the operation is still going-on in the area.
Kashmir valley seems to be burning for the first time after the BJP government scrapped Article 370 in 2019. Terrorist activities have appeared to be controlled in the state. Since the last few days, a series of killings targeting common people in the valley have taken place. Indian Investigating Agencies are trying to understand the motive behind the killings of civilians. Reportedly, 900 over ground workers of LeT, Jaish and TRF were detained by NIA & J&K police. The duty of these workers is to provide logistics to terrorists. NIA is in thought of destroying the supported infrastructure for terrorist groups in the valley. The Resistance Front (TRF) in connection with its larger conspiracy of killings of civilians in the state.
TRF is related to the Pakistan based militant organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). It claimed responsibility for the killing of Kashmir pharmacist businessman Makhan Lal Bindaroo. On September 30, militants shot and killed two government teachers who belonged to Sikh and Hindu community. As per J&K police, 28 common people were killed in this year so far and most of the slain people are from Non-Muslim community. They are targeting the people who worked for the society of the state. Terrorists want to send clear message that Non-Muslim and minorities have no place to live in the valley. J&K government seeks Union government help for taking over the cases.
