When lockdown in Australian cities Melbourne and Sydney are continuing to contain the pandemic virus, Austria in European Union thinks differently to counter coronavirus. The vaccination campaign is slow in some nations. People haven’t been willing to take the jab for many reasons. Israel made vaccination is mandatory and got successful to contain the virus. Austria threatens a new lockdown for unvaccinated as cases spike. It is nothing but forcing the people to compulsory vaccination. As cases of coronavirus continue to rise in Austria, the country's Chancellor announced that tight restrictions could be imposed on those still unvaccinated.
Although
Austria's government has encouraged citizens to get vaccinated, the effort has
slowed in recent months. Coronavirus cases in Austria have increased around 62%
of people have been fully vaccinated but the vaccination campaign has stalled
after that. If more than 600 intensive care beds are occupied by corona
patients, exit restrictions for people without vaccination protection will be
introduced in the future. Children under 12 years of age are exempted from the
new restrictions. The Austrian government has worried about 30% of people who are really not ready for vaccination. The new rules also provide for restrictions
for unvaccinated people in the event that more than 500 corona patients are
treated in the intensive care units.
The 2G rule (vaccinated or recovered) will come into force in many areas like restaurants and hotels. In the past week, Austria has reported 20k new cases of the coronavirus. That brings the 7 days average to 228.5 per 100,000 inhabitants. A week earlier, the figure was 152.5 per 100,000. A total of 223 people have been killed in a stampede in the United Kingdom the worst in seven months. Nearly 44,000 coronavirus cases were reported. On the other hand, the Russian capital, Moscow, has imposed sanctions on Moscow from the 28th of this month. Schools, restaurants, and non-food centers will be closed until November 7.
