Newly appointed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja made an interesting statement when he tried to brief the media after the selection of Pakistan team for the T20 World Cup. His statement came to know the reality of the gentleman game in Pakistan. He said that 50% of PCB is run on ICC funding. 90% of ICC is run on BCCI funding. So the BCCI is running the PCB. In this way, PCB Chairman say thanks to India. Pakistan has talent but it doesn't have money to play cricket. Pakistan's economy is sinking and it relay mostly on loans from others.
Pakistan is very much active for the T20 World Cup. But all the cricketing infrastructure, training camps, support staff and their salaries paid with Indian money not with Pakistan rupee. Rameez Raja said that ICC distributes funds to all it's member nations for the development of cricket. 90% of ICC get money from BCCI that means Indian business houses are sustaining Pakistan cricket. Ramiz has bluntly said if the Indian Prime Minister stops the funds Pakistan cricket could collapse. It is very interesting that a former cricketer of Pakistan made this statement as PCB Chairman when another former cricketer was ruling Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan are the cricket crazy nations in the Indian sub-continent.
