China puts 13 million people under lockdown

Once again lockdown name has been heard in China. Lockdown and pandemic restrictions have continued in different parts of the world. In particular, Europe is battling to fight against the new variant Omicron. Xian city is in lockdown after more than 230 new Covid-19 cases were detected. Early reports say that none of the positive cases showed the new Omicron variant. The Xi'an epidemic has turned into a military parade to show off the phalanx of the CCP's biological alien warriors. Xian is located 537 miles away from Beijing. There is a lot of difference in imposing restrictions in China on other nations. People have the worst experience at the time of the first lockdown in 2019.


Lockdown in China means you may starve to death. Millions of people in Xian city were in the queue in frigid weather to take part in citywide testing. The city is known for terracotta warriors, is in the midst of another coronavirus outbreak. 63 infections were reported in Xian city on Wednesday and 237 pandemic positive cases were detected since December 18th. Xian is under “controlled area” which is the second-highest lockdown category in China. Xian outbreak is huge worrisome for China due to having Beijing Winter Olympics which will be organized from February 04th to 20th. China took this as an opportunity to get rid of the opinion of disgrace against China after the Wuhan outbreak.


Officials are working hard to contain the outbreak ahead of Winter Olympics. Beijing wants to impose strict anti-Coronavirus measures to prohibit residents from leaving the city. Xian went into lockdown after a week of rising covid-19 cases. Domestic flights in and out of the Xian have been canceled. Lockdown went into effect at midnight two days back without any prior intimation and no one knows how long the lockdown will be in place. People are allowed to leave the house every alternate day to buy necessities. The total number of covid-19 cases surpassed 100k since its inception in China. Frequent outbreaks in different parts of China challenged the nation’s Zero-Covid approach.
