Cases filed on Kodela and LG Polymers


It seems in every angle, YSRCP government showed it’s softness towards LG polymers limited which caused for 12 casualties due to leakage of styrene gas in Vizag. 
Chief Minister YS Jagan met LG polymers representatives before he reached King George Hospital on Thursday. During the media brief also, Jagan told that government form committee and get facts before taking any action. He didn’t make assurance on taking of action against LG Polymers.

AP police registered the case against the authorities under sections 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code. Sections 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), Section 304A (Causing death by negligence) have also been slapped against the company. The maximum imprisonment in above cases is 2 years and fine of 1000/-.

Even though it is irrelevant, when we remember the sections file against late TDP leader Kodela Siva Prasad Rao. AP Government filed section 409 case against Kodela in the allegation that Kodela theft furniture. The maximum imprisonment under section 409 is 10 years. Government filed case against Kodela based on YSRCP MLA complaint. In theft case, they filed 10 years imprisonment punishment but on the company which killed 12 people due to its negligence filed bailable cases having 2 years of imprisonment.
