New Brands, New Prices only in AP

Number of corona cases increased to 1717 in AP and Kurnool district surpasses Kerala state. Government is priority in generation of revenue instead of controlling the pandemic. 

25% steep price hikes made no deterrent for booze lovers in Andhra Pradesh. Serpentine queues appear early in the morning at AP's liquor shops. Jaganmohan Reddy government has from Monday revised prices to serve as a deterrent like a 650 ml beer bottle now costs Rs 30 more. It was strange to see the package of Beer bottle. 

Andhra Pradesh people are in shock with the packing of whiskey bottle in a literal use and throw water bottle like bottle.  It is clearly understandable that the whiskey bottle is a cheap brand manufactured by SPY agro industries in local Andhra Pradesh.  The cost of the 1 litre whiskey is printed as Rs 430, however far now the cost of this whiskey is 30% higher than it’s actual cost. Another aspect visible on the bottle is the wordings. Instead of mentioning ‘Product of India’ it is mentioned as ‘Produce of India’. Brand names are different  those are not known to people like Blockbuster beer, Jordy’s Bar Whisky, Andhra Gold and young star Whisky. Produce of India is appeared in all label of the product.

Beer bottle package seems to appear as acid bottle in general stores. People were not in a position to see all these things. Videos and photos on liquor shops in AP became viral in Social Media. YSRCP government has committed to prohibition of liquor in phase wise as per election promise. Since last 45 days, health workers worked hard and keep the streets maintain with clean. All their attempts were vanished in AP after opening the liquor shops. Reportedly, first day AP received 68 crores from liquor. AP Government has increased another 50% hike would get much income to the state.
