ICMR stats different to AP stats

Covid-19 cases are increasing in Andhra Pradesh on each passing day. On an average 70 new cases found every day. Total number of positive cases in AP is nearer to 1600 mark and 33 people died of Covid-19 in the state.
AP is top in number of deaths in Southern India. Kurnool, Krishna and Guntur are in grave danger. Narsaraopet municipality has recorded with above 140 cases and it becomes second municipality in India having more number of cases.

But YSRCP leaders are saying that AP is number one state in India in doing number of RT-PCR Tests for Covid-19.  They said that cases increased because of increase in Covid-19 tests in the state. YSRCP Government also published full page advertisements in dailies on number of tests in the state. But Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) told different version on number of tests in India. The top three states which are doing vigorous testing include--Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan.

As per ICMR, three states have conducted more than one lakh tests respectively. It mentioned that AP, UP, Karnataka and Delhi still need to ramp up their testing capacity. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has crossed over one million RT-PCR  tests for COVID-19  marking a big landmark. YSRCP version is completely different to ICMR version. Central teams will likely to send to AP on how the tests will conducted in the state.
