On May 25, 2020, George Floyd, an African-American man, died in Powder horn, a neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The incident now creates trembles in United States America and protestors raised their voice against civil rights. People in America never followed social distancing since three months to control the pandemic virus but they joined the hands against police atrocities against an African-American man George Floyd. He was not educated and worked as security officer in restaurant in Minneapolis. George Floyd lost his job because of shut down of restaurant.
On May 25th, George Floyd
was arrested after an employee at a deli filed a police complaint accusing
Floyd of using a counterfeit $20 bill. Derek Chauvin, a white Minneapolis
police officer, kept his knee on the right side of Floyd's neck for 8 minutes.
One video was released at the time of arrest of Floyd which is going viral
across social media. Floyd repeating "Please", "I can't
breathe", and "Don't kill me", was widely circulated on social
media platforms and broadcast by the media. “I can’t breathe” is the chant for
all protestors from Los Angeles to Miami to Chicago.
Protestors in Minneapolis have rushed towards to streets and shouting against police after Floyd’s murder. He repeatedly groaned, “Please, I can’t breathe” before he died - triggered an outpouring of rage long simmering over persistent racial bias in the US criminal justice system. People can’t control their anger and emotions after watching the video. Like coronavirus, President Trump took the agitation in light manner. He tweeted all protestors are thieves and anti-nationals. Trump tweet causes much anger to protestors. The civil protests at streets create law and order for Trump administration. Finally! President came down and made an appeal to people there is no harm for their civil rights.
