Russian vaccine Sputnik V comes into India not as completed vaccine but it is coming for human trials. The first batch of Russia's Sputnik V vaccine for COVID-19 is likely to reach Kanpur's Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College by next week wherein the vaccine’s Phase 2 and Phase 3 human clinical trials will be conducted.
Russian President Putin was proudly announced that Russia won the pandemic virus. Though medical experts raised many doubts on Russian Sputnik V vaccine results, Putin said in July that vaccine would hits the market by October.
India’s drug regulator DGCI cleared for clinical trials by Indian Pharma biggie Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. It has confirmed the arrival of the vaccine. The clinical trials will also start shortly. The vaccine candidate will be tested on 1500 volunteers during phase 2 and 3 of its clinical trials. The interim trail results disclose the vaccine effectively minimizes the chance of coronavirus by 92%. Findings of Sputnik V trials are not yet published in a peer medical journal.
The Sputnik V covid vaccine has to be
kept at a temperature of -20 to -70 degrees Celsius. Pfizer and BioNtech said
their vaccine could stop 90% of people from getting covid-19. Their claim is
purely based on a study of around 43K people. There are many vaccines are being
in development stages globally. Chinese vaccine is showing side effects on
participants. The effect of the vaccine on the volunteers will be studied for
seven months after the same is administered once, twice or thrice within an
interval of 21 days.
