Joe Biden has become the 46th President of United States. Biden will be sworn as President in January 2021 along with Vice President Kamala Harris. Americans across all the states have celebrated the Biden victory.
But President Trump had not agreed his defeat. He didn’t make a call to Joe after he officially declared as new President of United States. It is regular procedure in American history that any defeated nominee should address the people. Trump had not followed all these traditions. In addition to that, his actions made the situation into tricky.
This election made it clear division among the people of United States. While Biden supporters are celebrating Democrats victory, Trump supporters are refusing to accept Biden as new President. All through the 4 days of vote counting, Trump made series of statements refusing to concede the defeat. Political analysts and observers have in an opinion that Trump threw out baseless allegations of voter fraud and threatened to take legal actions. What will happen if Trump refuses to leave the White House? He should concede the defeat graciously and vacate the White House or else get evicted anyway.
It is being speculated that Trump will have to grudgingly vacate the house at the end of his term. He will continue his efforts to claim the elections to be unfair to show his supporters that he is still fighting. As per Biden supporters, US government is perfectly capable of escorting trespassers out of the White House. Trump will have to vacate his official residence in January and begin grappling with numerous legal and financial difficulties. If Trump refuses to physically leave the White House thereafter, he will most likely be physically removed. No US President has ever refused to vacate White House.
