World knows the gun culture in United States. There were many incidents occurred in United States where people killed in Universities and in other places by others with guns.
The sales of the guns have increased all of the sudden in the nation in recent past. Gun sales year-to-date in 2020 already surpass the total number of guns sold for all of 2019. It is interesting that 40% of the people are buying the guns in 2020 for first time. The University of California study has found that concerns about the pandemic drove a surge in gun sales in California and increased owners’ propensity to store their firearms loaded and not locked up.
These people are queuing up to buy guns ahead of the US
Presidential election. Many buyers say they are concerned about the political
climate and post-election protests. 17 million firearms were sold across the US
in September 2020. US gun sales were up 66% in September compared to the same
month in 2019. Gun sales were already rising in the US over fears about social
stability during the pandemic. Millions more weapons have gone into circulation
in a nation where guns outnumber people.
