China continues to plot against India. Dragon is still committing acts of provocation. China has been embroiled in yet another aggression as arrangements are being made for a one-sided core commander-level meeting. Authorities said the Chinese people have occupied by erecting tents in Demchok, Eastern Ladakh.
Although India is asking them to return, officials say they remain there, without evacuating. Demchok is the epicenter of India and China face-offs earlier as well. Two nations have agreed in 1990 that Demchok and Trig Heights have been considered as dispute areas on the LAC.
Meanwhile, India has postponed the meeting, despite a core commander-level meeting between the two countries scheduled for today. China had proposed the 12th round of Commander level talks on July 26th. India has reportedly postponed the Kargil War Victory Day celebrations. At the same time, the Indian security forces and the Center are closely watching the Chinese setting up tents on Indian soil. In addition to the disputed 12 areas that are mutually agreed upon, China and India have a different understanding of where LAC is located. During the last completed round of talks in April this year held on de-escalation and disengagement at the LAC.
Nearly 50K troops were deployed from two sides in the LAC region in Ladakh. It is interesting that China is rotating their troops whereas India has developed the defence infrastructure and deployed modern equipment in the region. China is of the opinion that it is enough to keep troops in a place where they can be deployed in times of peace. In any case, China will always be a headache for India in some way. More recently, China has been provoking tents in Indian Territory. Apart from the delegated talks, China and India have reportedly exchanged messages nearly 1500 times over the hotlines since the stand-off began in 2020.
