Europe and Australia protest again on lockdown restrictions

It seems the world has not yet recovered from the coronavirus. Governments in respective nations imposed lockdown restrictions in their countries after increasing the number of cases. Analysts and medical experts predicted that the Third wave would surge in the month of August in India.

In particular, people in Europe and Australia are showing their frustration against restrictions on streets. Vaccination rates remain the lowest among the developed nations with fewer than 14% of people fully vaccinated. People objected to the Health pass in France and Green Pass in Italy. More than 150,000 people across France marched to protest against President Emmanuel Macron's plans to force vaccinations for health workers and require a COVID-19-free certificate to enter places like restaurants and movie theaters.

People denounced Macron’s decision to make vaccines compulsory for all health care workers, and to require a “health pass” proving people are fully vaccinated. If a person doesn’t have a health pass he/she should not be allowed to enter public places. In the same way, Italy announced Green Pass to their citizen which allows them to enter stadiums, restaurants and movie theaters from August 06th. The Green Pass requirement led to protests across all cities in Italy.  The updated version of the vaccine passport will begin on Aug. 5 and didn’t sit well with residents who see their freedoms whittled away by the government. Australia after the government put greater Sydney back into a weeks-long Wuhan-style lockdown of all non-essential activities following 1 COVID death and discussed deploying the military to hotspots to keep people from leaving.

Some of the protesters were carrying placards with anti-vaccination messages. Many appeared not to be wearing masks. The Delta variant has challenged Scott Morrison’s “Zero Strategy” that made the borders closed and snaps lockdowns.  Even after 4 weeks of lockdown, cases in Sydney haven't been controlled. Just 11% of the population is fully vaccinated in Sydney. People in the UK are continuing to demonstrate against Coronavirus restrictions. People also protested in London against the newly introduced track and trace app. People have strongly felt that the government's app is limiting their freedom. Compared to other nations, vaccination has been completed in the U.K. more in percentage.
