English fans violence after Euro 2020 final defeat

Italy became European football champion after a gap of 53 years by defeating England in a dramatic penalty shootout in the Euro 2020 final. English fans are very much crazy and pinned a lot of hopes on victory against Italy in the final. 

In 2019, English team won their first World Cricket Champion title. This is the first European football championship organized by England after Brexit. They couldn't digest it after Italy won over English team with a 3-2 score. While the world was rejoicing Italy's victory, it didn't go well with England fans who were furious at their favorite team's loss.


Frustration and agony are common among the fans when two tough teams clashed in any sport or game. There were many incidents that appeared in Indian sub-continent when India and Pakistan faced each other. Fans have shown their anger and frustration on players when one team lost the match but not opposite supporters. Violence gripped the streets of London as England fans attacked Italian fans physically, verbally and racially. From vandalism to violence, from hooliganism to racism, angry England fans indulged in toxic behavior.


Photos and videos related to violence went viral in Social media after the final match. The actions of English fans have invited a lot of criticism in social media. England fans can be seen creating a ruckus, beating up Asians and Africans, and vandalizing the streets. Thousands of English fans entered the Wembley Stadium without tickets. They disrespected Italy’s national anthem ahead of the match. English fans did the same during the semi-final match against Denmark. England fans attacked three Black English players who missed spot-kicks in a penalty shootout in the final. UEFA fined 30K Euros to England’s Football Association for such incidents. Prime Minister Boris Johnson condemned the fans actions.
