American Passport losing its shine

Having American Passport is symbolized for ultimate level of privilege for any Non- US citizen in the world. US Passport status becomes a history now.

United States Passport is losing its glory on various reasons in recent past. An American passport allowed its holders access numerous countries with free visas. Americans had Visa free access to 185 nations. US ranked in the 7th spot of The Henley Passport Index (HPI) which is a global ranking of countries according to the travel freedom for their citizens.

Japan is number one in HPI ranking which allows to visa holder to visit 191 countries freely. After the eruption of pandemic virus the situation has completely changed. European Union is not allowing Americans entry. There is a temporary ban on US travelers to Europe. US Passport holders have access to only 158 nations which brings an American passport fallen to the levels of countries like Uruguay and Mexico. The reasons for ban on US Passport holders by 27 nations European Union are open secret.

The first and foremost reason is United States failure in controlling the pandemic Wuhan virus. EU ban is stinging rebuke Donald Trump’s poor handling of the pandemic virus. America is world number one in coronavirus positive cases with 2.9 million cases and 1.31 causalities. The death toll of US is more than number of corona cases of some nations. Second reason is economic shrink of United States due to corona virus. The American economy will shrink by 4.6 percent in 2020. The third reason is slowly spreading civil unrest of racism in US. The impact of unrest in US is clearly visible on July 4th on US Independence Day. A group of armed black protesters marched on the streets of Atlanta. They carried similar like military weapons.

Please check the photo. It was in 1994 after TDP regains power in AP. Bhuma Nagi Reddy and SV Subba Reddy (father of Shobha Nagi Reddy) were met NTR along with their families. Bhuma Nagi Reddy was elected first time to Assembly as TDP candidate from Allagadda in 1992 bye-election. Again he was elected as MLA from same constituency in 1994 as TDP candidate. In 1991, late NTR decided not to field TDP nominee opposite first Telugu Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao. In 1996, Chandra Babu Naidu (NTR was died) was selected Bhuma against them Prime Minister PV in Nandhyala. In 1991, PV majority was more than 5 lakhs but in 1996 his massive majority comes down below one lakh. It can only possible to Bhuma. PV retained Barampur in Orissa and resigned for Nandhyala.
