North Korean leader Kim Jong-un convened an emergency politburo meeting after a person suspected of having Covid-19 returned from South Korea after illegally crossing the border, state media said on Sunday. The affected person came from South Korea to Kaesong city. North Korean officials said that severe punishment to those who cross the border. North Korea completely closed its borders in January, and imposed a tough lockdown. Earlier this month, Kim said the country will keep its borders closed “for the foreseeable future”. North Korea declared locks down in Kaesong over suspected virus cases.
