The Supreme Court has refused to stay contempt proceedings against the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh for the state government’s failure to implement the high court order to reinstate state election commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.
No Surprise of Apex court reaction in this case. In addition to the case, abusing HC judges in Social Media also come into the discussion. This is not digested to YSRCP cadre and Social Media as well.
Last month,
HC order to file cases against people who made derogatory remarks against High
Court judges to AP Police. There is no further improvement after that in that
case. High Court asked police to file affidavit on accused before the next
hearing on August 06th. Now, abusing HC judges issue has dragged to
Supreme Court by Harish Salve. Though it is related to Nimmagadda case, Harish
Salve raised the point to CJI SA Bobde on abusing remarks.
Harish Salve, appearing for N. Ramesh Kumar, a week to file a detailed reply, including the “abusive” tweets put out against the State’s High Court judges. Mr. Salve that the judges who restored Mr. Kumar as the Andhra Pradesh SEC came under virulent attack on social media, including one tweet saying they “should be locked up with COVID-19 patients.” CJI Bobde ordered to file affidavit on abusing remarks in Twitter. Abusing judiciary in Social Media is no longer activity for YSRCP Social Media. One MP, MLA, former MLA, noted Journalist and YSRCP cadre involved in abusing judges in Social Media. Harish Salve was angered on abusive remarks and released video against them. All the above will be in trouble.
