Andhra Pradesh government issued orders on Thursday midnight on reappointing Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar as the state election commissioner.
No one knows who Nimmagadda till March 2020 is. His name was starts resounded after he decided to postpone the local body elections for six weeks on March second week because of spreading of coronavirus in the state.
Starting
from Chief Minister YS Jagan and Speaker Tammineni, all leaders in YSRCP
attacked Nimmagadda for postponing the elections. They blamed Nimmagadda with his
caste. After that AP government issued G.O to reduce the tenure of Nimmagadda
and appointed new Commissioner as SEC. YSRCP did whatever wrong steps it had in
Nimmagadda till yesterday. YSRCP government tried and search all possible for
not reappointing Nimmagadda as SEC. But their strategies haven’t worked Judiciary.
AP Govt
faced severe legal setbacks both in High Court and Supreme Court. YSRCP leaders
finally realized Nimmagadda case would severely affect the existence of the
government and gave nod to appoint him as SEC. It seems YSRCP leaders wrongly assume
that Nimmagadda can’t approach the court. Nimmagadda dashes their assumptions
and filed contempt of court case on AP government and won the game at last. Unfortunately,
YSRCP leaders are in wrong opinion that people mandate is final not to care
judiciary. Even YSRCP won 175 seats they should work as per the constitution.
