Monday is crucial day for AP Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan. He needs to take decision on two critical issues like opinion on revoking of CRDA bill and on Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.
No surprise that entire AP is waiting to see governor reaction on two approved bills in the Assembly. BJP’s attitude will be known with governor’s reaction. Will Governor continue the Status Quo or Approved as per government’s wish?
As per High
Court direction, SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar has taken an appointment of Governor
on his reappointment as State Election Commissioner. AP governor was dragged
into SEC issue indirectly by giving his approval on ordinance that proposed to
reduce the term of SEC to three years. This forced Nimmagadda to exit as SEC.
Later, he approached to HC and get relief. Nimmagadda is going to meet Governor
as per HC direction. YSRCP didn’t agree on this but helpless if Governor
ordered Nimmagadda to take the charge again.
Revoking CRDA bill once again came for discussion. On June 17th, AP Council sine die without approving the bill. This is automatically approved after 30 days. AP Government will decide the fate of 3 capitals. Rule 71, the policy of the government was disproved in the Legislative Council when the bill was first introduced. In this context, the government was not supposed to reintroduce the same bill again to enact as an Act. But Government says that the bill already approved. All political parties except YSRCP are request governor not to approve the bill. BJP’s dual standards on Amaravathi will come out with the governor’s response. TDP leader CBN wrote 6 page letter to Governor not to approve the bill. He reminded Governor that bill has legal issues in High Court.
