Why US orders to close Chinese consulate in Houston?

Another cold-war is brewing. It’s United States and China. America’s strategy against China becomes aggressive. US did recently joint naval exercise with India across South China Sea just to send warning signals to Beijing. 

US is boosting its military presence to contain Chinese aggression. Relations between China and the United States have plummeted in the past year, amid an ongoing trade war, the coronavirus pandemic, and US criticism of China's human rights abuses in Hong Kong and Xinjiang.

After that United States orders closure of Chinese consulate in Houston within 72 hours. US decision wonders not only China but everyone in the world. US officials are confidently believed that China using Houston consulate for spying. Chinese Foreign Ministry called it as an “unprecedented escalation” by Washington. US local media shared a video of what appeared to be officials inside the compound burning documents.

According to US officials, Chinese have been engaging in cyber espionage for years. They have been targeting researchers looking for a consulate in particular. Senator Marco Rubio said that China’s Houston Consulate a “Massive Spy Center”. It forced to TRUMP administration abruptly orders Chinese Consulate in Texas to close. Chinese diplomats were seen dumping papers into flaming barrels. This was happened after Trump administration asked China to close the consulate. As per US diplomats that China steals the Covid-19 vaccine research documents and they trying to burn the papers without evidence.
