As the speculations regarding the initial spread of the novel coronavirus infection increases, a Chinese virologist Dr. Li-Meng has now come forward and asserted that the Chinese government knew about the virus in Wuhan and also added that she has scientific proof.
Li Wenliang died after contracting the virus while treating patients in Wuhan in first week of February. He was tried to warn about the coronavirus outbreak has sparked widespread public anger and grief in China. Li sent a message to fellow medicos warning of a virus he thought looked like SARS which was another deadly virus.
Police was arrested Li for spreading fake rumors. China's leadership had already faced accusations of downplaying the severity of the virus - and initially trying to keep it secret. After that World Health Organization praises China’s response to coronavirus. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, who had returned after meeting with Chinese leaders in Beijing, including President Xi Jinping, told that Chinese officials had shown they were committed to combating the transmission of the virus and demonstrated cooperation with other countries to stem its global spread. After getting huge pressure from world nations, WHO agreed to investigate to find the reason for origin of WUHAN virus.
Even then China not allowed WHO representatives into WUHAN and investigation not allowed. Now, Dr. Li-Meng the top scientist working in Hong Kong discovered Sars-like cases coming out of China and she also discovered a cover-up operation. Dr. Li-Meng had researched about the disease and had produced the results in mid-January with her supervisor who is a consultant at the World Health Organization. She said that her officials told her to maintain silence or else she would be made to disappear. Dr. Li-Meng further said that the Chinese officials knew that human-to-human transmission of the virus already existed. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom blindly believed China words on human transmission of the virus and misled the entire world.
