Chinese Army played Punjabi songs with loud sound

People’s liberation army (PLA) of China has changed its strategy over Indian Army after PLA lost its hold at Pangong Lake.

Two weeks back Indian Army took the control on heights at Pangong Lake. PLA troops are indulging in psychological warfare against Indian Army. It is common for every team to distract opponent’s concentration. China’s PLA took it in different way to divert the concentration of Indian Army at LAC.

PLA troops gathered at LAC and played the Punjabi songs with loud music just to distract Indian soldiers. Reportedly, PLA used a battery of loudspeakers deployed in Chushul near LAC. The loudspeakers installed by PLA told Indian forces in Hindi that the move to deploy forces at these heights in winters is futile. The idea of PLA is to pull down the morale of Indian troops and create pandemic situation among Indian soldiers.

This is not first time that PLA played this tactic over the counter with India. China’s PLA had used the loudspeaker tactics in run up to the 1962 war. At the same time, China is not the only nation to use tactic at war times. South Korea is also known for using loudspeakers to blast everything from K-Pop music to news reports critical of North Korea. The speakers were set up along the Korean Demilitarized zone.
