Is Chirag Paswan showing his political immaturity?

Lok Janashakti Party (LJP) leader Ramvilas Paswan used to enjoy the power since 3 decades whoever formed the coalition government at Centre. He has maintained good relations with all parties both in Centre and Bihar.

Ramvilas Paswan with Lalu Prasad Yadav of RJD were contested and won Bihar elections in late 90’s and 2000’s. Paswan is working as Union Minister under Modi cabinet. Recently, he made his son Chirag Paswan as President of LJP and he remain with Founder of LJP.  Since then political equations seems to be changed in the state. EC might hold general elections in Bihar in October or November.

There are many changes in Bihar elections in 2020. Lalu was imprisoned in fodder scam and his son Tejaswini Yadav took the reins of RJP after lot of family struggle in the family. In 2015, JD (U) and RJD made an alliance with other four parties and won the election with narrow majority. Afterwards JD (U) joined with BJP and form NDA alliance under Nitish Kumar in Bihar. Political scenario has changed now. Chirag Paswan has started open war against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ahead of general elections in Bihar. These elections are major after pandemic outbreak in India. Whole nation wants to see the verdict of Bihar people how they will react on Modi government actions during the coronavirus.

For BJP it’s very important to retain power in Bihar. Even JD (U) is part of NDA didn’t stop Chirag Paswan to takes on Nitish Kumar. Chirag has challenged Nitish Kumar. He asserted that LJP’s loyalty lies with BJP but has also positioned himself as the next CM candidate of Bihar elections. That forced Chirag has constantly attacked Nitish on many issues like corruption and law & order in the state. LJP has decided to forward 143 names of list of candidates for the general elections. In 2015, LJP won just 2 Assembly segments. As a President of LJP, Chirag will take a final decision whether to contest elections under Nitish Kumar. JD (U) leaders said that their alliance with BJP not with LJP. If LJP comes out NDA, Ramvilas Paswan should come out from Modi cabinet. People will get clear picture on Bihar state politics within 10 days.
