Though it is neighbor nation to India, we don’t see much focus on Nepal even in International Media. Nepal has lack of political stability since many decades. After Girija Prasad Koirala era, this instability has continued in Nepal.
K. P. Sharma Oli, is a Nepalese politician and the current Prime Minister of Nepal. He is praised and considered a nationalist for standing against India during the 2015 Nepal blockade, strengthening relationship with China and publishing an updated map of Nepal including disputed territories with India by constitutional amendment. Everyone knows that China is behind the Nepal “map row”.
Nepal is pawn in the hands of China against India and Oli government failed to control the pandemic in the country. People in Nepal are starving to death on each passing day, their Prime Minister used to spend crores for his personal life. PM Oli spent Rs 1.26 million on food and entertainment in one month. The hashtag #StopDemocidePMOli has been in widespread use on Twitter and Facebook, two of the most-used social networks in the country against PM Oli’s life style. People criticized Oli is from communist but his actions are like capitalist. People question on Oli’s recreational expenditure. Oli spend $170 million on Tea and snacks in 3 years.
Nepalese call out their Prime Minister Oli for orchestrating a “Democide”. Poor people are dying of starvation day by day. Covid-19 has also made their way to blockage in their life. Its shame on #KPSharmaOli Govt, people are starving, #Covid19 patients and doctors are without food, above this flood crisis, landslides and other calamities, but govt is spending Rs 20 billion on tea and snacks. On the other hand, China wants to stop the implementation 70-year-old tripartite agreement of Gurkha treaty. 32K Gurkhas are serving in Indian army. It recruits 1,300 Gurkhas every year. They possess exceptional combat skills. China doesn’t want Gurkhas serving in Indian army.
