Indian government has decided to allow all network equipment makers, including Huawei, to participate in 5G trials. This is before the coronavirus erupts in India.

Amid among all odds, Indian government is rethinking its decision to go with China’s Tech giant Huawei. When border is boiling it is difficult to continue business as usual. India gets new friend like Japan to cooperate on 5G technology.
The two nations come to an agreement at the meeting of foreign ministers in Tokyo. Besides 5G, the pact promotes cooperation in Artificial Intelligence (AI), IOT and cyber security. The collaboration on 5G network is significant in the wake of global pushback against China’s Huawei and ZTE. There are many concerns on the use of 5G gear made by Chinese telecom giants like Huawei and ZTE are on the rise. US have already banned Huawei over security issues. Other nations also followed US in this regard. India, like other nations, suspects the companies of allowing the Chinese companies to access their data.
5G will become the power the “Internet of Things”, including telemedicine and autonomous vehicles. Countries have faster 5G adoption will have a distinct technological and security-related over others. Though India has officially not decided to ban Huawei and other Chinese companies for 5G trials but Indian telecom want to maintain distance with China’s. In a clear message to China, India and Japan have finalized an ambitious agreement that provides for cooperation in 5G technology. The cooperation between India and Japan on 5G technology comes in the backdrop of growing reluctance by a significant number of countries globally to allow Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei to roll out 5G services in their territories.
