Rugby match in New Zealand with full of audience


Photos of 31K screaming fans in New Zealand in a rugby stadium gone viral in social media and has stunned the world. USA has reason to be jealous as their NBA and NFL finals were both done without fans in large numbers.  

BCCI has conducted IPL cricket matches with empty stadiums in UAE. When every nation is taking pre-cautionary measures to counter pandemic virus, How Government allowed a Rugby match in Wellington Stadium?


In the photo, thousands of rugby fans can be seen. The viral picture left the world stunned. As the world struggles to deal with the pandemic over 30K fans gathered at New Zealand’s Wellington stadium on October 11th.  The attendees in the picture can be seen enjoying the match without wearing any face coverings & with no visible social distancing. The photo in social media has diversified opinions.  Some made comment that it irresponsible while other envied it.


New Zealand has many successful stories in controlling the pandemic virus. Many took hail New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardren leadership and her timely actions in handling the coronavirus. In June 2020, the nation declared as free of coronavirus cases. Despite a few new cases reordered since then, New Zealand has been deemed successful in curbing the spread of the disease. New Zealand expects 47K against Australia at Eden Park for second Bledisloe Cup game at Auckland.
